PROBLEM CONTEXT
The architecture for this automation layer relied on n8n acting as the orchestration engine between a legacy on-premises ERP and the Microsoft Graph API. Whenever a shipping manifest was generated, n8n was tasked with parsing the document, uploading it to a specific SharePoint/OneDrive directory, and notifying the regional logistics team via Microsoft Teams.
To achieve this, n8n requires robust OAuth2 authentication.
